About 2 years ago I was fortunate enough to become good friends with a guy called Silverglade, we worked closely together and produced some of the finest ever video content for the now unfortunately closed down Stage6.
We had amassed an empire with over 500 Hello! project related videos all in delicious high resolution and free for everyone to download, it was a golden time.
During that time Silverglade introduced me the groups Capsule and Perfume, initially I wasn’t fully taken with them … they were OK … but nothing brilliant.
It’s now two years later and I consider myself a huge fucking fan of anything produced by Yasutaka Nakata, not only is he super talented in regards to producing slick electronic rhythms he’s also got an eye for lovely looking ladies to front his works.
Perfume are apparently the most listened to artist on my itunes and with good reason, the catchy beats, funky rhythms and sexy crooning vocals never fail to get me pumped up into party mode, this performance of GAME will always remain one of the most awesome things ever (be sure to click on HD)
Capsule are also equally awesome, I have numerous capsule tracks on my ‘GYM MIX’, hitting the cross trainer with Jumper playing is a sure fire way to fitness and/or early death …
Nakata has worked with numerous Japanese artists such as Ami Suzuki and the highly delectable Meg …
I’m a relatively new fan of meg but I’m loving some of her stuff so far, it’s a little more accessible and more pop orientated than Nakata’s other works, here’s a great video of Meg promoting the single Magic
Silverglade emailed me a few days ago with news about a special package he’ll be sending me … it sounds very awesome, and I hope to blog about it when it arrives, it will win HARD.

well since you’re a Perfume fan I don’t want to be all LOL HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF _______ when it’s one of their most famous tracks and all…that’s quite awkward o_O my favorite Perfume song is Perfect Star Perfect Style, though! also, Electro World is awesome. I don’t really listen to MEG and I’ve been meaning to give capsule a try, though. you should ask joh and Wendy

I’ve actually been listening to MAGIC a lot and it’s definitely in my top 5 TechnoPop songs of all time. MEG and Perfume are constantly battling for my no.1 TechnoPop Artist spot. As for track suggestions, it depends on which areas of TechnoPop you want to focus on.

I love the current Capsule album and would be hard pushed to pick a fave – however Jumper is awesome their latest album is sitting on my desk at home heh. I came across them becouse a maid in a maid bar we frequented gave me a mix cd (gave me it after seeing I had a load of DJ Sharpnel stuff on my mp3 player – she’d drawn a cover for them) that had aload of Capsule stuff (and halicali) and both groups rocked my socks.
I used to be a big Perfume fan (got into them as of akihabalove with Momoi) but they’ve wained on me, we saw them live at shibuya AX and the event was mental, sadly saw them again at Budokan and it was pretty boring. AX was awesome becouse it had a crazy uncontrolled feel to it, but Budokan was dull and the girls didn’t seem into it.
lol Just realised the youtube is of the budokan concert – looks far more fun on that. Wish the Macross Concert had those lasers the day before!

I think you can safely say your boner for Nakata is quite colossal indeed, alot of the tracks you’ve suggested I’m not sure if I’ve heard them.
I think I’ve heard a few from Capsule’s S.F. Sound Future album, I’m gonna have to get hold of it

Loving MEG at the moment, you should give her song ‘Heart’ a listen.
My faves from Capsule at the moment are Flashback, Adventure and Catch My Breath.
I was wondering if she/they have produced anything new recently…?
