Dear lord … it’s been about 12 minutes since Kanna left, and now we learn that Erika Umeda will also be leaving the now 5 girl group C-ute.
To some this news will shock, to some this news will sadden … to others like me this news makes me LOL.
to sum up my sentiments here is a recent exchange on #WOTACHAT …
Joking aside, what the hell is going on? at this rate C-ute will be a solo artist by the end of the month (please be Maimi).
Apparently Erika has aspirations to become a ‘model’ … we can only speculate as what type of model she intends to be.
I’m slightly curious to wonder who will perform Do Don Ga Don Ondo?
I’m not sure if Erika has a large fanbase but I know that Vee from Pink Wota will be distraught when she finds out (I’ll be on Skype for counselling if needed).

Can you all remember my post about Kanna leaving? of course you can, it was like 13 minutes ago, anyway … if anyone doubts that Tsunku doesn’t read my blog then think again … here is a screen cap of a fairly prophetic remark I made … it turns out that its all my fault that Erika is leaving … GOSH!
All this talk of graduation has got me thinking, namely about Morning Musume …
It’s only a matter of time before a girl decides to call it a day from Morning Musume … the big question is WHO?
I’ve decided to create a poll so everyone can vote which girl will be going next … who do you think? is there anyone you want to go?
I think Aichan might be pushing it … shes been in Morning Musume about 20 years now anyway … lets fan those flames of speculation …

Wow… I first checked if it is April, but no, it is August. I didn’t expect this, but I’m not really surprised either. Her talents were quite wasted in C-ute. With her turning 18, perhaps she did not want to spend the next few years of her early adulthood in a group that still can be viewed as a kids group. She can look quite stunning in some photographs, so a career in modelling is not too far off. So good luck to her in her future career paths, hopefully she’ll be happier on her own path and not tied to the decisions of Tsunku (who plainly disregarded her too much). Maybe due to these circumstances, Tsunku will add the korean winner to C-ute to make it slightly larger?
You ask who will leave MM… wow, that’s a tough one. One reason being is that the 2 that would be the next in line to graduate are probably the most important in the group and I would be sad to see any of them go. What could be the reasons though, looking at Erika seemingly decided to go herself. Aichan could graduate to pursue her solo singing career and that would not be much of a surprise because she does have a wonderful voice. Risa also has a nice voice but I am not sure she could make it solo in the tough Japanese singing world – she might be better off doing TV shows or something along those lines. Both could also leave at the same time. The thing is, we’d probably hear about somebody leaving because they will probably hold an audition for somebody to replace them in the group.
Good riddance…Erika was my least favorite member out of whole H!P.
Regarding MM, I voted Ai-chan although it was pretty much tied with Ai-chan and Gaki-chan.

Interesting how C-ute will be with 5 members. I mean only 5 members, everybody in the group must have a strong character or somehow uniqueness, like the members of High-King do. Or the group will be collapsed. I think adding a new member is a better to go, and who is gonna be? No Korean please.
For MM, I don’t think the next one will be Takahashi Ai, unless she decides to go by herself, I vote for gaki.
Morning Musume’s next graduation will be interesting. It’s tempting to say that certain members can’t leave because they can sing. But ideally so could their replacements and what better way of introducing some new members than by giving them the spotlight. Having said that I say logically it’d be best to sort out the future leaders before getting rid of the current ones. So I go with Sayumi. I really like her in a healthily lustful way but she can’t sing and neither can Koharu so one should go. Sayumi is higher up the order when it comes to leadership so I reckon she’d go first. Possibly with Niigaki. With Niigaki gone that leaves Eri second and Reina rather than Sayu third. Then after Eri has ‘an accident’ and somehow in a freak turn of events stabs herself 37 times in the back while preparing some fish over at Tsunku’s, Reina can step up to second. Ai-chan can leave. Junjun through her age takes second place and Tsunku’s decision to pick three mad buggers for the sixth gen doesn’t have any long-lasting implications.
Or it could just be Ai-chan and Niigaki leaving together. Who knows.
As for Erika, well really the whole of H!P apart from Ai-chan, Reina, Koharu, Maimi, Airi, Risako, Momoko and Mano could leave and strictly speaking it wouldn’t make much difference to the H!P singles that get released these days. That doesn’t mean it’d be a good thing if they all did leave. At least Umeda seemed to have some kind of a sense of humour. As one who doesn’t explode in orgasmic glee every time Airi opens her mouth I can fully appreciate this. A bit like with Kanna. Kanna seemed to at least have some spunk to her (no making up your own punchlines now). Erika is just one of the many members for whom people can say upon leaving “well it won’t affect me at all”. Really there’s a few too many members people can say that about. Probably more to do with line distribution in songs than a lack of actual talent.
Oh and with Umeda leaving we lose the chance to see her get a drawing show on tv. Seriously she was so bad she could have been a star. The comedy gold that’s been lost doesn’t bare thinking about.

As for Erika, I was quite shocked to see her leave but it would have been even stranger if she had done even though Kanna hadn’t left. Those two like always had the same amount of importance as members in C-ute(minus when Kanna first joined) so Erika with no Kanna would be freaky.

i really didn’t want this to happen I was fearful this would happen after Kanna left because when I watched her solo version of Bye Bye she didn’t look happy and she had the least amount of solo lines. She looked miserable in the making off though she tried to joke around but you could tell she wasn’t into it. Another tell tell sign she would leave soon was in the close-up version of Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu she had the least amount of screen time. I’m grieving because she and airi are my favorite memebers and now it’ll just be airi
It made me LOL when I saw the polls that Koharu was one of the ones people want to graduate.. Seriously, why hating the retard? Koha’s genki personality (and Sayu’s narcissistic personality) is what keeps MM a bit on the happ side and not “emo-musu”
That aside… C-ute WILL cease to exist…. Sure 6nin is still an okay number for a H!P Kids group, cause it’s still on par with BK, but a 5nin Cute is off balance… Those without anything going for them (a.k.a. the little ones: Nakky, Chisa and Maimai) are gonna have a troubling time now that MORE of the spotlight turns to Maimi and Airi….

It was a hard choice between Aika and Koharu, but since her anime ended I’ve actually found Koharu to be slightly less annoying. I never though I’d say that.
As for C-ute, I’m delighted. My dream has always been to see Maimi and Airi alone on stage in super short skirts and sexy heels caressing each other in a “we might really be lesbians or we might just be playing” kinda way. I guess what I’m saying is I want GAM 2.0 with all the great shots of their legs but with C-ute’s amazing dancing skills in the mix.
