Hello project! on MY ipod? … its more likely than you think

Some days I like to switch off the inner wota and try and live a normal type of life … this has just become much harder to do now since Hello! Project have started to release idol applications for the iphone and ipod touch.
2 weeks ago I purchased a Mana Ogawa application bizarrely called ‘i socks’ which is essentially a mini digital photobook that contains 99 photos of her doing random shit and a 1 minute long video of her (yes 1 whole minute!).
The app costs £1.19 ($1.99) which isn’t really that much considering you get lots of lovely photos and the ability to oggle them whenever you please
I love Mana Ogawa so when I saw the app for sale I got it straight away, interested? buy from here.
Today I woke up with the worst hangover in the world, after I fell out of bed and crawled to the kitchen for some paracetamol I had the urge to check twitter just incase there was any idol related news … and success! there was a tweet from Paul saying there was a Kusumi Koharu application!
Within 15 seconds I had already downloaded the app and was swiping through some Koharu deliciousness, the app itself is almost like Mana’s app yet this app unfortunately lacks a video (making of) and it only consists of 59 photos, the description for the app is pretty enticing also:
This is Koharu Kusumi’s official photo book [Sugar Doll] including lots of outtakes just for the App! 59 pics includes sexy bikinis,miniskirt,,and more! Download and enjoy Koharu’s high quality pics!!
As you can see it says ‘Vol.1′ so I’m gonna presume there will be 4 parts in total like other Hello! Project digital photobooks.
The app costs a slightly higher price at £1.79 ($2.99) but I really dont mind the cost because …
- It’s Koharu
- she’s wearing a bikini
- My money is supporting her (I fucking hope)
I’m hoping that more idol applications start coming out because I’ll probably buy them all (unless there was an Aika application UGH … my ipod touch would have to be renamed the ipod punch).
Which idols would you like to see have an app? what sort of features would you like to see? I’d like to see longer videos added and maybe a little Q&A page, I’m probably gonna write a small review on the app rating page in the hope that the UFA take note and act upon it.

Hmm…. probably like an app similar to Love Plus on the DS. You know, how you “kiss” the screen and the girl then becomes embarrased. idk, just my two cents. I’d think an app like that would sell like hotcakes among the wotas (>w<)b
That’s an amazing idea … although I reckon after a while I would have a VERY dirty screen …
Am I the only person who finds these photos a little… pornographic? There is literally one of centered on her ass with her hands bound behind her back. And she’s still a teenager. I really don’t think this kind of thing is going to help Hello! Project expand their fan base.

The 2 Koharu pics in the water work great as wallpapers for LG Voyager (Flipped boat pic upside-down to fit better). I keep looking at my phone screen now. *drool drool*
Charles, there are two major flaws with that argument.
1) What Hello! Project needs is a wider range of fans to increase sales. It seems they’ve been trying to appeal solely to the wota for years, so that’s what the major fan base is.
2) This IS blatantly sexual! Just because she isn’t completely nude or fingering herself or what have you doesn’t mean it’s not sexual. Nearly every photo posted her is either centered around her crotch or ass and/or features her in a submissive pose.
^ Yes this has sexual appeal but it’s much lighter and arguably more artistic than common “gravure” photobooks, many of which don’t have explicit nudity. A fellow photographer 11 years my age has pointed out to me that Sugar Doll’s photographer does shoot with a sexual mind, including phallic objects and sexual innuendo in several photos, so the photographs themselves aren’t actually innocent. My friend is no wota but he said the photos are very well posed and scened but I believe gaining fans is unlikely through photobooks as they are always sold as “[idol]’s photobook” which would immediately direct sales towards the fans of that specific idol.
The photo you mentioned that’s “centered on her ass with her hands bound” should be viewed subjectively as artistic work should; I wouldn’t call that an “ass” photo at all because there’s is no figure of ass shown in that specific image (none of the other photos in the book shout “ass” either) and her hands aren’t actually bound (but who knows, that bounded look might have been the artist’s intention). I just don’t think these photos should been seen as only sexual. Also, the few photos shown on this page are just Shirow’s small selection.

Wow, that’s awesome X3 I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in these photos. I wish I had the money to get some of the photobooks that H!P release >.<
@zoumusume: I don't get the whole pornagraphic idea you're suggesting. I understand that the photos do have a more sexual element in them, but in the end they're just showing off her beauty, and all the photos are artistic. I love all of the photos that I've seen of the Sugar Doll photobook, and I agree with what Charles Nguyen says: I just don't think these photos shoulde be seen as only sexual.
